Verify Label is a product information platform — not a government authority, regulatory body, or certification agency. We facilitate the display of product data submitted by brands and manufacturers. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Brand / Company accounts: company name, contact name, email address, country, and any product data you submit through the brand portal.
• Contact forms: name, email address, company name, and the content of your message when you submit a brand inquiry or contact request.
• Account credentials: email address and hashed password for registered brand portal accounts. We never store passwords in plain text.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, search queries entered, product pages viewed, QR code scans, and time spent on the platform.
• Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and language preference.
• Cookies and local storage: session tokens for authenticated brand portal users. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2.3 Consumer use

Consumers browsing product information do not need to create an account. We do not require or collect personal information from consumers searching or scanning products.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain the Verify Label platform and product database.
• Authenticate brand portal users and manage company accounts.
• Process product submissions and manage the admin approval workflow.
• Respond to brand inquiries and support requests.
• Monitor platform performance, detect abuse, and improve the service.
• Generate anonymised analytics about product searches and QR scan activity.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Product information submitted by brands and manufacturers through the brand portal is intended to be made publicly available on the platform once approved by the Verify Label admin team. By submitting product data, you confirm that you have the right to publish that information and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Verify Label displays product data as submitted. We clearly distinguish between verified information, brand-submitted information, and imported data. We do not independently verify the accuracy of all submitted product claims.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the platform (hosting, database infrastructure) under strict confidentiality obligations.

• Protection of rights: when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Verify Label, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

• Brand portal accounts: retained while the account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
• Contact form submissions: retained for up to 24 months to manage ongoing correspondence.
• Usage and analytics data: retained in anonymised or aggregated form for platform improvement purposes.
• Product submissions: retained as part of the product database. Approved public product data may remain visible after account deletion unless a specific removal request is made and approved.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
